Back to the Tangent Gallery For BIG THIRD YEAR Saturday June,27
detroit
Originally founded in Park City, Utah by Lloyd Kaufman and Troma Entertainment as the anti-Sundance Film Festival, TromaDance is now in it’s 16th year and still dedicated to advancing independent art worldwide. TromaDance is the first film festival wholeheartedly devoted to filmmakers and fans. There is no fee for filmmakers to submit a film. Entrance to all screenings is free and open to the public. Films, panels, and parties are open to one and all. The organizers of TromaDance believe films are meant to be seen, especially the work of new young filmmakers. Art in all its forms, is for the people! The TromaDance movement has continued with Satellite TromaDance Film Festivals in Detroit, New Mexico, Canada, the UK, Germany, etc.

TromaDance Detroit, Michigan’s only ALL FREE, independent film festival, is returning to the Tangent Gallery. Founded in 2013 by Michigan filmmakers Mike Hartman, President of Silver Bullet Pictures, and Terence Cover, TromaDance Detroit offers a full day of visionary, independent cinema from around the world alongside amazing live Detroit talent. The festival will take place on June 27th at the Tangent Gallery in Detroit and is guest hosted by Brad Jones, a.k.a. The Cinema Snob, who is internet famous for his video reviews of cult and exploitation films.  Featuring over 10 hours of programming, the festival includes two feature films, two blocks of short films, burlesque from Sadie Sparkles, music from Hearse For Hire, “torture juggling” from Nathan Wakefield and more to be announced! This will no doubt be TromaDance Detroit’s best festival yet.
