THEATRICAL WORLD-PREMIERE OF 17 YEAR OLD KANSAS BOWLING’S “B.C. BUTCHER”

with Jenna Fischer’s Lollilove also on the Program!

17 year-old director Kansas Bowling will present, for the first time ever on the silver screen, her feature length female comedy-slasher cave-woman film,  B.C. Butcher,  at the landmark 600 seat Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 7:30 pm. The event will be the inaugural theatrical screening for the American Cinematheque’s new film program, “Women Underground”. “Women Underground”, part of the new SHEspectives Initiative at The American Cinematheque, showcases the Los Angeles premieres of new independent, underground feature length cinema from innovative and taste-making new female filmmakers. The premiere was announced today by the American Cinematheque.

B.C. Butcher, which was shot on 16 mm film in Bowling’s father’s backyard in Topanga Canyon, California, stars Kato Kaelin and features Rodney “The Mayor of Sunset Strip” Bingenheimer. Bingenheimer, along with B.C. Butcher’s Executive Producer and the president of Troma Entertainment, Lloyd Kaufman, are also scheduled to make appearances at the premiere. Troma Entertainment, which has selected Bowling’s B.C. Butcher for distribution, is one of the longest-running independent movie studios in the country and the creator of world-famous movie classics like, The Toxic Avenger, Tromeo & Juliet and Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 1.

The film will be screened alongside another brilliantly crafted female directed Troma film, Lollilove,  by star of smash television comedy show The Office and the upcoming new series, You, Me and the Apocalypse, Jenna Fischer. Lollilove , which was co-directed and co-written by director of Guardians of the Galaxy Volumes 1 & 2 , James Gunn, is a satirical dark-comedy about a hipster California couple that attempt to make a difference in the lives of the homeless.
The screening will be accompanied by a guest panel featuring Kansas Bowling, Rodney Bingenheimer and Kato Kaelin and will be moderated by Lloyd Kaufman.

This February, Troma Entertainment is celebrating Black History Month on their subscription video-on-demand service,   Troma Now.  The selection of films from the Tromarchives celebrate and feature African-American filmmakers, actors and soundtracks.  Honky Holocaust , Troma’s newest racially charged grindspoitation action-horror movie, is the February world premiere offered this month exclusively to subscribers of Troma Now, it was announced today by Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator of,  The Toxic Avenger .

A Double-Feature Screening of Feartown, U.S.A. and Terror Firmer

The 18th Annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention

Special Guest Appearance by Lloyd Kaufman and the Troma Team February 12-14th, 2016

Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator of, The Toxic Avenger, will be appearing live at the 18th Annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention alongside his cast and crew of mutants and Super-Tromettes, including The Toxic Avenger  himself, it was announced today by Troy Timpel, founder of the Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention and of Villain Arts.  Tattoo lovers and Troma fans will have the opportunity to meet Lloyd Kaufman in person with the added bonus of free photo-ops, free signed copies of posters, film stills, and DVD or Blu-Ray copies of Troma movies.
