Troma Entertainment has confirmed rumors that they will hold a secret screening of the first five minutes from Lloyd Kaufman’s just-wrapped Return to Nuke ‘Em High at the 2012 New York Comic-Con. The screening will take place at the Troma Booth #903 at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 13th with a special introduction from Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment and creator of the Toxic Avenger.
Produced in association with STARZ Media, Return to Nuke ‘Em High is a satirical sci-fi comedy concerning idealistic students, overcoming bullying, and love triumphing over prejudice. The themes are in the same vein as other classics such as Class of 1984, Rock ‘n’ Roll High School, and Carrie, seen through the unique vision of the Troma Team. Welcome to Tromaville High School where, unfortunately, the glee club has mutated into hideous Cretins. Chrissy and Lauren, two innocent lovers-bloggers, must fight not only mutants and monsters but also the evil Tromorganic Foodstuffs Conglomerate. Will they save Tromaville High School and the world?
In addition to the sneak preview, Return to Nuke ‘Em High stars Catie Corcoran and Asta Paredes will appear and sign autographs alongside Lloyd Kaufman, Toxie, and the world-famous Tromettes. Troma DVD’s, Blu-Rays, t-shirts, and much more will also be available, including Troma’s recent hit film Father’s Day! Unlike other celebrities, Kaufman and the Troma stars do not charge for pictures or autographs.
