The July 14th TROMAmerican Summer 2016- FESTIVAL OF FREE!!, the three month Thursday night Summer calendar event featuring rare Troma movie screenings as well as live performance art, including rock-n-roll music and go-go dancers, on a series of lineups curated by the Troma Team has confirmed an appearance by 19 year old director Kansas Bowling at the event, it was announced today by Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger.
B.C. Butcher, which was released by Troma Entertainment in 2016 is Kansas Bowling’s directorial debut, hilarious cave-girl slasher comedy starring Kato Kaelin. Hollywood’s historic Egyptian Theatre held a World Premiere of B.C. Butcher as part of Etheria Film Night’s Women in Film and was attended by celebrities like Ron Jeremy and Priscilla Presely and Rodney Bingenheimer. Bowling has since been featured in W Magazine as an Up and Comer and she is set to be a guest on the Troma Panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con alongside Lloyd Kaufman. Leilani Fideler, who stars in B.C. Butcher as the jealous cave-tribe’s leader Neandra will also be making an appearance at the Brooklyn event!!
Junk Bonds: The Return of Junkbucket, written and directed by Stephen Lange. In this sequel to the cult hit Junkbucket, Junkbucket discovers a family of phallic cannibals to help him in his mission to castrate most of Western Washington.
The second movie of the night on July 14th will be Stephen Lange’s sexual slaughter movie Junk Bonds: The Return of Junkbucket.
A double-feature screening and the New York City Premieres of Bowling’s B.C. Butcher and director Stephen Lange’s Junk Bonds: The Return of Junkbucket will be held at the Brooklyn venue and screening room Lucky 13 Saloon. The party is free to the public and will include Bastille Day themed surprises to be announced!
